Visitation Ministry
The visitation ministry at First Church is a ministry that belongs to our entire church family. The Care Ministry has identified a number of presenting needs in our congregation and from that, there are a diverse group of ordinary people who are learning to respond to those needs in extraordinary ways. Some of the ministry’s responses are making calls, writing cards, visiting the home-bound and those in assisted living facilities. We have others who do hospital visitation, and those who are equipped to walk along side people who are experiencing crisis. Although we are not all gifted the same way, everyone can be involved. Part of our church-wide vision is that we love one another. One way we put feet to our love is in making sure we stay connected with those who can’t be with us and with those who are experiencing an illness. To discuss your passion and gifting and to learn how you can become a part of this outreach please contact Eileen at 860.529.1575, x210 or Wayne at x203.
We are a community
