21st ANNUAL MEN’S ADVANCE, 2013 — Again held at Pilgrim Pines in New Hampshire, this fall’s Advance will be October 4 to 6, led by speaker Steve Poole of Vision New England. Watch for details!


IRON SHARPENS IRON Men’s Conference — We will be attending this annual conference as a group on Saturday, March 16. Please register as soon as possible. This one-day event is for men of all ages, beginning at age 13. Cost is only $44! There will be 16 different seminars for men at this conference, so we know there will be something for every one of us. BROCHURES AND TICKETS are available on Sundays in the Wells Area.


SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER BREAKFAST — All men are invited to gather in the Fireside Room every Saturday, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., for prayer, discussion of Scripture, fellowship, and a hearty breakfast. For more information, please call Bud Reading at 860.794.2733.


MEN’S MONTHLY PRAYER WALL — New members are always welcome at any time —  all we ask is that you pick a day of the month as your day to pray for Men's Ministries, First Church, and other prayer requests. This is intended to be in addition to your regular, daily prayer time. You are only active on the Prayer Wall during the day of the month you select. Before the beginning of the month, every brother on the Prayer Wall receives the prayers for that particular month via e-mail. MEN'S MORNING BIBLE STUDY —  SPIRIT-LED EVANGELISM: REACHING THE LOST THROUGH POWER AND LOVE, a book by Ché Ahn, is our current study. With practical teaching and personal illustrations, the author explains the priority of evangelism and equips readers to move to higher levels of success. This book helps both hesitant and on-fire Christians deepen their skills for following Christ into all the world. Bible teacher/missionary Joy Dawson calls it “One of the best books on evangelism I’ve ever read.”

     The study is offered in two locations: Tuesday mornings in the Fireside Room and Thursday mornings in Conference Room 1, each from 6:45 to 8:00 a.m. The sessions run simultaneously every week, so if you need to miss one, you can attend the other instead.
