FESTIVAL OF THE MUSIC
OF ROBERTA BITGOOD

A special concert will be held at First Church on Sunday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. Roberta Bitgood (1908-2007) was a nationally renowned Connecticut composer, organist, choir director and teacher who wrote more than 70 choral and organ works. Our concert will include, in part, music that was presented here in 1994 under her direction, including her cantata “Job.” Hear our children’s, youth and adult choirs, as well as soloists, brass and flute, in a delightful and inspirational program. A reception will follow. An offering will be received, and childcare is available for those up to the age of 8.
