Camp Noah to Begin June 14
This summer—from June 14 through August 4—inner-city children will enjoy a fun, safe, and Christ-centered “camp” experience, with crafts, music, games, Bible teaching, and field trips. Camp Noah and its sponsor, Hartford City Mission (HCM), have grown out of First Church’s continuing compassion for our neighbors in Hartford. The program will take place on weekdays at Glory Chapel International Cathedral, at 221 Greenfield Street in Hartford. “Regular” camp is held Mondays through Thursdays from 1:00-4:30 p.m., and small-group trips are on Fridays.
There are many ways to get involved, including volunteering/chaperoning, monetary donations, or providing snacks. Look for our detailed article in the May 2010 Spire.
