Weddings
Although not a Sacrament, we consider these to be sacred worship services wherein the Holy Covenant of Christian marriage is celebrated. First Church retains a rich history and its Meetinghouse is a wonderful model of 18th century architecture. It is also a holy place where, as a community of faith, we celebrate the love of a couple becoming husband and wife. It is our policy that any couple considering First Church for their wedding should have a relationship with this family of faith. A direct connection would mean that one of the couple needs to be a member or regular participant in the life of the church. A relational connection would mean that at least one of the couple would have a parent or relative who is a member or regular participant of First Church. If neither one of these connections are presently being observed, couples are cordially invited to begin worshiping at First Church and establish their own personal relationship to this family of faith.
