Wouldn’t you like to begin the New Year with a calm soul, overflowing into compassionate, courageous action? First Church member and Connecticut author Lucinda Secrest McDowell, invites all women to join in a mini-retreat focusing on her new book “Soul Strong–7 Keys to a Vibrant Life”.
This retreat will be held here at the church on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM. Tickets are $25 and include a signed copy of the new book, a catered luncheon and worship with Renee Story.
Cindy will speak twice on “Simplicity & Serenity” and “Strength & Significance.” She elaborates, “Though I’m not particularly strong on my own, God has helped me embrace seven decisions for living authentically and loving extravagantly! I wrote them all down (including many vulnerable life lessons and fun stories) in this interactive guide. Living Soul Strong is a deep commitment and an even deeper empowerment. It’s making mistakes while standing daily in need of God’s grace and mercy.
Cindy can’t wait to gather with everyone and share some encouraging words for 2020!
Due to limited seating, registration is now closed.
