The Bible is God’s love letter to us. It is centered on the great news of abundant life found in Jesus Christ, His Son. It provides trustworthy direction for our journey of faith—for a lifetime. And when we respond in love and obedience to God, we discover the purpose, blessing, joy, hope, love and peace we’ve been looking for.

SUNDAYS

THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW

Does not meet during the summer.

Morgan House Drawing Room

Christians throughout history have proclaimed that Jesus is Lord, but all too often we have focused on His birth and His death and resurrection and have paid little attention to the 33 years between the two. Glenn Sunshine is teaching an in-depth class on the Gospel of Matthew, taking a fresh and detailed look at Jesus’ life and teachings and exploring what they mean for us today. The class meets in the Morgan House Drawing Room from 9:00 to 9:45 on Sunday mornings.

LIFE GROUPS

A First Church Life Group is a small community of roughly twelve people who meet regularly for an informal time of fellowship and learning. They encourage one another in spiritual growth through study, discussion, and sharing together God's Word. Prayer, mutual concern, and acceptance are also key components.

There are many different groups, meeting in different locations; surely there is a place for you! Other ministry departments also offer groups formed around special interests: men's, women’s, couples, singles, mothers of preschoolers, youth, or those suffering from addictions.

Please consider joining a Life Group to experience the unique fellowship and spiritual growth that authentic Christian community can provide. Call Diane at 860.529.1575 x210, to sign up
